The marquee group began its involvement in sports activities and became one of the top sports businesses in the USA as the owner of the San Diego Conquistadores with Wilt Chanberlain, followed by ownership and operation of the major league professional hockey team known as the Los Angeles Sharks with Marc Tardiff, and then the major league professional tennis team known as the San Diego Tennis Team with Rod Laver. Marquee is also well known in the business of ticketing of sports and entertainment events as well as the ownership of sports and entertainment facilities in the USA. Owner and operator of two multifunctional arenas in California where many exciting sporting events took place.

Marquee has offered programs for the training of thousand of young people. Many of them have become excellent athletes and professional sports superstars. The contributions to the American youth are generally acknowledged.

Having the sense of responsibility for human development and enjoying rich resources, Marquee has spent great efforts and funds in developing educational programs and training systems, thus offering many excellent educational products to the public.

Accomplishments in the field of major league professional sports include ownership and operation of the San Diego Conquistadors, a professional major league basketball team.

ALEX GROZA was the General Manager of the San Diego Conquistadors. The Captain and three-time All-American center was a member of the University of Kentucky's “Fabulous Five” that was twice National Basketball Champions. Twice top scorer and most valuable player of the NCAA tournament. A winner of an Olympic gold medal playing on the USA Olympic Basketball Team. A two-time All-Star in the National Basketball Association. The Associated Press nationwide poll of sportswriters picked Alex Groza as one of the five (5) top-rated basketball players of the half-century.

K.C. JONES was the first head coach of the San Diego Conquistadors. Won 60 straight basketball games as a member of the University of San Francisco basketball team. An All-American Basketball Player. Won back-to-back NCAA League. An Olympic gold medal winner playing on the U.S.A Olympic Basketball Team. Won eight (8) consecutive NBA Basketball League while playing for the Boston Celtics.

WILT CHAMBERLAIN signed with the San Diego Conquistadors as a player-coach, but only coached the first year. The following are only some of the NBA records that Wilt held upon his retirement:

A founder and organizer of the World Team Tennis League. Contracted world-renowned Wimbledon tennis champion players to the League, giving the League prestige and credibility. The League presently has the top tennis players in the world participating in League play.

Previous owner and operator of the professional major league San Diego Tennis Team, with the world famous Rod Laver in the World Team Tennis League. The Rod Laver Stadiums are the main stadiums of play at the Australian and Wimbledon Championships.

Track and Field

The most participants in China's university sports will be with Marquee's National Men's and Women's Track and Field Championships. Many potential sports stars have emerged from these events. Mr. Liu Xiang is a good example as he won the Olympic gold medal in the 110-meter men's hurdle. His success fully demonstrates his achievements and the commercial value of these Championships.

These Championships last for seven (7) days with 22 events for men and 22 events for women. There will be more than 1,500 students from more than 117 universities (including students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), and 500 team leaders, coaches, officials and staff. These Championships will have a great impact in China.
